  1. Jan-Krzysztof Duda


Born on 26 April 1998, Jan-Krzysztof is a Polish chess player. In 2013, at the age of 15 years and 21 days, he achieved the title of grandmaster.


He was awarded the title of FIDE master and also won the U8 Polish Youth Championship tournament in 2008. In the year 2012, he won the Polish under-18 championship in Solina and was also awarded the title of International Master in the same year. 


He is known to be the second youngest grandmaster as he achieved his final title of Grandmaster in 2013 and also became the youngest and highest ranked Polish grandmaster ever. 


Therefore, Duda won the Polish Championship in 2018 and the Chess World Cup in 2021. 



  1. Marta Michna


Born on 30 January 1978, Marta Michna is another born chess player. At an early age of 8, she became interested in chess. She was one of the leading Polish youth chess players in the 1990s. 


She won six medals: 4 bronze (1994, 1996, 1998, 2000), silver (2002), and gold (2003) in the Polish Women's Chess Championship finals. She won the title of FIDE Woman Grandmaster in the year 1999 and the Polish Women's Chess Championship in 2003. 



  1. Dariusz Swiercz


Born on 31 May 1994, Dariusz Swiercz is an American-Polish chess player for the US. He learnt to play chess at the age of 3 from his grandfather. 


In the year 2004, at the age of 11, he became a FIDE Master, at the age of 13, he became an International Master and in 2009, he became a Grandmaster at the age of 14. 


Therefore, he is the 30th youngest player in history and the youngest Polish player of all time to receive the title of grandmaster. 


He finished 1st in the Polish Boys Championship-U10 in 2002. In 2005 and 2006, Dariusz finished 1st in the Polish Boys Championship-U12 and U-12. Later in 2007, he again finished 1st in the Polish Boys Championship-U14. 




  1. Pawel Jaracz 


Born on 22 July 1975, Pawel is another Polish chess grandmaster. He is a three-time winner of the Polish Blitz Chess Championship: 1996, 2003 and 2014. 


He won multiple medals in the Polish Junior Chess Championship, including gold four times- in 1993 in Biala Podlaska at the age of 18, at the age of 20 in Nisko in the year 1990, 14 years in Piechowice and 15 years in Zychlin in 1989.


He also won two medals- bronze in 1994 and silver in 2011 in the finals of the Polish Chess Championship. Therefore, his wife, Barbara Jaracaz, is also a leading Polish women's chess player and a grandmaster. 



  1. Miroslaw Grabarczyk


Born on 3 January 1971, Miroslaw has been another leading Polish chess grandmaster since the 1990s. He finished 2nd in the Polish Chess Championship in 1993 and 1995. 


In 1994, he won the Polish Blitz Chess Championship and finished 2nd in the Polish Rapid Chess Championship in 1995. Therefore, he is also known for successfully completing several Polish Team Chess Championships. 



  1. Monika Socko


Born on 24 March 1978, Monika is another well-known Polish Chess Grandmaster. She was the first female Polish chess player to achieve the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2008. 


She won the gold medal at the Women's European Team Chess Championship as a member of the Polish Team, silver and bronze too. Therefore, Monika won the Polish Women's Chess Championship 8 times: 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2010, 2008, 2004, 1995. 



  1. Joanna Dworakowska


Born on 21 October 1978, Joanna is a Polish chess player. As a member of the Polish women's team, she won bronze, silver and gold medals. 


She also holds the FIDE ranks of Woman Grandmaster and International Master. Therefore, she won the Polish women's championship three times- 2001, 1998, and 1997. 



  1. Artur Jakubiec


Born on 3 December 1973, he is another Polish chess grandmaster. He received this title in 2002. 


He won the Polish Junior Chess Championship twice- U15S in 1988 and U18S in 1991. He made his debut in the Polish Chess Championship in 1993. 


He won silver medals in several Polish Team Chess Championships. He finished 2nd in the Polish Blitz Chess Championship in 2005. Therefore, he has been the coach of the Polish national men's team since 2007. 



  1. Aleksander Mista


Born on 7 January 1983, Mista is another Polish chess grandmaster. He is a multiple medalist of gold, silver and bronze of the Polish Junior Chess Championship.


He finished 3rd both in the Polish chess championship in 2009 and in the Polish Blitz Chess Championship in 2014. He is also the former coach of the Polish Women's team for the European Team Chess Championship. 



  1. Krzysztof Jakubowski


Born on 23 September 1983, Krzysztof is another Polish chess grandmaster. He won multiple medals in the Polish Junior Chess Championship- bronze in 2001(U18), 2000 (U18), 1995 (U12) and silver in 2002 (U18), 1993 (U10). 


He is also a medalist of the Polish Junior Chess Team Chess Championships and the Polish Junior Rapid Chess Championship. He also won a silver medal in the European Youth Chess Championship- U16 in Greece in the year 1999.


Krzysztof also participated in several Polish Chess Championship finals and successfully completed several Polish Team Chess Championships, winning individual gold and team silver. 


Therefore, in 2009, he was awarded the Polish Chess Grandmaster.
